First stop to day was the Quicksilver Miniature Horse Ranch. |
These two were sparing with each other the whole time we were there. |
There was a little nipping...... |
......a little dancing |
and a little kicking. |
Then it was off to the lavender farm via the vineyards. |
I probably wouldn't go there, but these guys are really into it. lol |
This is where they sell all of the lavender products. Pretty high prices. |
Lavender in the field looks like a cross between jojoba and sage brush with purple flowers. |
Usually the bloom is fuller when we are here, but maybe a late harvest this year. |
Even the chairs have absorbed the color from the fields. |
......but the still hasn't. |
I was told that Drum Canyon Rd was in bad shape. |
When we got there they have patched all of the potholes..... |
.....and even repaved it in some places |
Even so, Kasey wasn't too impressed with it. |
Personally, I liked it! |
We were thinking about it, but forgot our suits. |
Besides, the beach was closed to protect these guys. |
I liked this piece of driftwood. |
There is a nice Amtrak station here. |
.....but the ticket machine is going away. |
Probably an old ammunition bunker. |
Headed downtown for some yummy yogurt and took this pic. |
I always like to visit the old missions. |
I have visited every one of them in California. Of course most of them were the miniature kind at Knott's Berry Farm. lol Actually I think I have been to most of the real ones too! |
